eJobfile Online Project Tracking System

 Tutorial - Viewing a Project

eJobfile's Project Viewing screen is the primary screen your clients will use. From this screen, they can view project specific identification and contact information, along with individual project reports. Optionally, they may also open the View All Reports summary page that contains a complete listing of all project reports entered to date.

When users first log into the system, they are either taken directly to this page, or presented with a selection list of all project to which they have access (if more than one). The later being the case, this screen is displayed when they click on the project they wish to view.

The project viewing screen is divided into two main areas, general project information and a report viewer. The general project information includes:

  • The project name and address
  • The project's primary contact within your company, doubling as a hyperlink for sending them e-mail if their e-mail address has been specified within the project administration screen.
  • The primary contact's phone number
  • The start date of the project
  • The scheduled completion (end) date of the project
  • The current status of the project

Beneath the general project information, the report viewer automatically displays the latest project report available (based on the date of the report) when the page is initially displayed. Users may view other individual projects using the Reports (by date) drop-down menu to select the report date they wish to view and if necessary, clicking on the View Selected button.

Note: the View Selected button is included for older browsers that do not support changing the display when a new report date is selected. In most cases, the selected report will be immediately displayed whenever the report date selection changes.

Users may also view a complete summary of all reports by clicking on the View All Reports button to the right of the report selection controls.

If the user has access to more than one project, they may return to the project selection screen at any time by clicking the Browse button located at the top of the screen.

When the user has finished viewing their project reports, they click on the Log Off button to end their session, returning them to the Login page.
